Hi and welcome to Melissa Photography and Design. My name is Missy and I specialize in newborn baby, children, 'tweens, seniors, family and maternity portrait photography. I have had a love of photography that dates back to when I was in High School. I've always had a strong interest in the arts in general. However, one thing led to another and my love took a back seat for a while as I attended college, began a career as a speech/language pathologist, got married and had children.

Several years ago after the birth of my first child that love was re-ignited and I've been going full force since. I finally decided that I wanted to share my passion with others. There are moments that I wished I had captured with my oldest child that I missed while I was becoming re-acquainted with my love. Photography is now my passion. I decided to start a business so that I may help others capture those moments that they want to remember for a lifetime. Those times that may be insignificant to others but to you are treasures for a lifetime. Things that we swear we will remember but alas forget. I hope that you allow me to take a glimpse into the world of you, your children and/or family for at least a brief moment to attempt to capture the essence of who you and they are.

As far as my style goes I tend to lean more towards lifestyle type portraiture however, I do offer more formal studio type portraits. Thanks for visiting.
